M33 - The Triangulum Galaxy
The Triangulum Galaxy in the constellation Triangulum is an Sc-type spiral galaxy and is a member of the Local Group which is a group of galaxies that includes the Andromeda Galaxy and our galaxy, the Milky Way. This galaxy is estimated to be at a distance of 3 million light years.

This image is an color composite from a 170-minute unfiltered image combined with 50-minute exposures through red, green and blue filters obtained on 22 and 26 October 2008. This image was obtained with a William Optics FLT-110 4.3" f/7 refractor and a SXV-H9 CCD camera.
