M108
A galaxy in Ursa Major, M108 (NGC 3556) is estimated to be 45 million light years from our solar system. This galaxy is a type Sc spiral galaxy, similar to M51 and M100, though it is edge-on to our view point. More information and images of this galaxy can be found at The Messier Index - M108. This image taken on 14 June 1997 is a composite of 21 ten-second exposures.
