The Pacman Nebula (NGC 281)
NGC 281, unofficially referred to as the "Pacman Nebula," is an emission nebula surrounding a star cluster (IC 1590) in the constellation Cassiopeia. More information about this object can be found at Wikipedia - The Pacman Nebula.
This image is a 104-minute unfilterd image obtained on the evening of 2 October 2008 combined with 60-minute red, green and blue-filtered images from 4 October 2008. The image was obtained through a William Optics FLT110 4.3" f/7 refractor with an SXV-H9 CCD camera.
