M28 - Globular Cluster

M28  (NGC 6626) is a globular cluster in the constellation Sagittarius.  This cluster is estimated to be located 15,000-19,000 light years away and is known to contain a millisecond pulsar.  More information and additional images of this cluster can be found at the Messier Index - M28.  This is a 40 second composite image from 2, 20-second exposures taken on 28 June 1997.
