M14 - Globular Cluster

M14 (NGC6402) is a globular cluster located at a distance of approximately 23,000 light years within the constellation Ophiuchus.    This cluster measures approximately 55 light years across.  More information about this object and additional images can be found at the Messier Index - M14.  

The above image is a composite of 17, 10-second, IR-filtered (white) images taken on 8 July 2000.
